Int'l AI conference begins Friday at Kaliakair Hi-Tech City - Daily Sun

The International Conference on Data Science, AI, and Applications (ICDSAIA 2025) will be held on July 18–19 at the EATL Innovation Hub in Kaliakair Hi-Tech City.

Jointly organised by Ethics Advanced Technology Ltd (EATL) and the University of Salford (UK), the two-day conference will bring together researchers, academics, industry leaders, and policymakers from around the world. 

They will explore the role of artificial intelligence and data science in shaping key sectors including healthcare, education, and the digital economy, read a press release.

According to the organisers, over 200 full papers have been submitted from countries including Bangladesh, India, China, the UK, and the US.

Accepted papers will be published by Springer’s Communications in Computer and Information Science (CCIS), with selected extended versions to appear in the Journal of Artificial Intelligence (AIA) and Springer Nature Computer Science (SNCS) — marking a first for Bangladesh.

Finance Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed will inaugurate the event as chief guest, while Pubali Bank MD Mohammad Ali will attend as guest of honour. EATL Innovation Hub Chairman and former Principal Secretary Md Abdul Karim will chair the session.

Keynote speeches will be delivered by Prof Latifur Khan of the University of Texas at Dallas and Prof Sushmita Mitra of the Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata.

The conference will feature technical sessions, workshops, poster presentations, and panel discussions. A workshop on AI trends will be led by Shivakumara Palaiahnakote, Editor-in-Chief of AIA.
